Manuskripte & Briefe / Manuscripts & letters

[The "Naval-Profession-Project" continued]

This is a manuscript  convolute around the "genesis-of-the-naval-profession"-project by Norbert Elias, started as early as 1941 and left unfinished in 1955, here arranged in a preliminary order (partly following Dr. René Moelker,[1] Royal Netherlands Military Academy, who at the moment checkes these manuscripts scientifically and prepares them - on the long run - for an eventual coherent publication[2]); Dr. Moelker has published in the meantime first findings: "Norbert Elias, marine supremacy and the naval profession", BritJournSoc 54/3 (2004)[3].

Here the hitherto unpublished manuscripts are cited by highlighting the most significant text of the respective part of this "naval-profession-project" (6 parts/chapters are visible), 1955 being in the most cases the last year of corrections, additions and reversions by Elias to the diverse manuscript contexts.
